Quitting smoking is one of the most important things you can do for yourself.  The benefits of quitting are insurmountable.  It does take a while to reverse the devastating effects of smoking but there is no better accomplishment.

In order to quit, you not only have to fight the addiction but you also have to change your daily habits and routines.

People tend to associate smoking with a relaxing feeling.  In the workplace you are aloud breaks during your workday.  People associate relaxing during a break with chemicals that are stimulants.  People refer the these breaks as coffee and smoking breaks.  Both coffee and smoking cigarettes provide substances that are actually stimulants, not conducive to relaxation.  It is important to remember that you deserve a break to relax and regroup.  When you quit smoking, it is very important to change your routine.  Use your break to relax and regroup.

It is important to change your routine.  Use your break to relax and take time to read or just daydream.  Try to stay away from coffee or any other stimulant.

Also change the time in which you take your break.  If you used to take your break with other smokers, try and take your break by yourself or with the nonsmokers.

Quitting and reversing all the devastating effects of smoking is a very important addiction to overcome.  You are not only making your life better but also those around you.  Enjoy the fresh air you can now breathe and the great food you can now taste.  Not to mention your new found health.  Be proud of yourself.  You deserve it.
